Mahatma Gandhi University Act (12 of 1985) , S.10(17)— University Grants Commission (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations (2010) , Regn.10.1— Benefit of Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) – Revocation of – On ground that initial appointment of respondent as Lecturer in School of Medical Education was not on duly sanctioned post – Respondent worked continuously right from 1998 initially as Lecturer, thereafter after confirmation of probation appointed as Assistant Professor and thereafter again promoted to post of Associate Professor on regular basis and on regular pay-scale – Therefore as per provisions of Regn. 10.1, she is entitled to get her regular service counted for period from initial date of appointment as Lecturer to date of appointment as Associate Professor for purpose of grant of benefit of CAS.
